Insurance Coverage

Many major health insurance carriers provide coverage for the treatment and management of hyperhidrosis.  However, coverage guidelines can vary greatly from carrier to carrier.  Furthermore, coverage may depend on many factors including previous treatments, past medical history and the plan allowance.

At the Hyperhidrosis Center at Thoracic Group, we look into each policy on behalf of our patients to obtain the benefit guidelines. Our insurance experts will be happy to assist you in navigating your options to ensure you can make the most of your insurance plan to relieve your excessive sweating.

miraDry^®

miraDry^® is not currently covered by any insurance provider. Fortunately, through our partnership with miraDry^® we now offer new financing plans for patients. We offer 6-month and 12-month financing options for patients. Benefits include:

• Payments as little as $162.50 a month
• Online eligibility determination within minutes

We have also found that flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs) typically reimburse patients for the cost of the treatment. Our finance team is happy to work with you to explore this option and provide all of the documentation necessary for reimbursement.

Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy

We have found that most major insurance carriers provide coverage for endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS).

Our experienced insurance team will review each patients individual plan in order to check benefits, coverage and preoperative requirements, if they exist.

In the event of non-coverage or any additional out-of-pocket expenses associated with the procedure, we also offer financing and payment plans for your convenience. FSA and HSA funds can also be utilized for any out-of-pockets costs that may arise.

Medications

Medications prescribed for the treatment of hyperhidrosis may be covered depending on your insurance plan’s prescription coverage.
